Wallows · Case Study
Live Concert & Tour Documentation

Wallows wanted their live shows captured with the same energy and emotional texture they bring to the stage. Across the Model Tour and Model & More Tour, my role was to translate their performance into multi-camera visuals that felt alive; not just documentation, but pieces that carried the rhythm, personality, and connection the band has with its fans.
Every venue, every crowd, and every song hits differently. To keep pace with that, I built a shooting plan that balanced structure with instinct: mapping key shots, anticipating lighting shifts, and carving out space for cameras to move as freely as the music itself. The goal was to let the performances lead; capturing the intimate moments, the explosive ones, and everything in between.
This wasn't about staging or re-creating anything. It was about responding in real time and shaping the live energy into a visual story that felt true to the band.

What came together was a set of dynamic, emotionally charged live pieces that matched the momentum of the tour. The final edits highlighted both the scale of the production and the small details that make a Wallows show feel personal; the crowd waves, the glances between band members, the musical shifts that hit unexpectedly hard.
While touring I directed their set at countless festivals around the world for various broadcasts, Lollapalooza on Hulu Live, Outside Lands on Amazon, and French TV to name a few. Outside of festivals the footage has been used across the band's social platforms and promo, serving as a record of the tour's identity and a connection point for fans who weren't in the room.
